The company’s solar powered vehicles, so called land trains, consists of one locomotive and two or three wagons. The locomotive is powered by two or four electro motors and either a lead-acid or lithium-ion battery package.
The wagons can measure various sizes:
7.7m x 1.82m / 7.80m x 2.22m / 4.90m x 2.22m
Seating possibilities in the passenger wagons are diverse, depending on the preferences of the client. Passengers can sit facing over either long side or short side of the wagon. Seating solemnly in forward position is also possible. Depending on the number and type of wagons used, the maximum amount of passengers can vary between 20 and 75.
The chassis and body are made of aluminium and lightweight sandwich plating (dibond). The plating is very suitable for printing which makes it easy to personalize the vehicles with advertisements and other marketing messages. Windows can be lowered to halfway. A wheelchair ramp is present.
Max. speed is 25km/hr and the range is, depending on track decline and surface conditions, approx. 120km on lead-acid batteries and 300 km on lithium-ion.
The solar panels integrated in the roof additionally charge another 8-10 km per hour, depending on weather conditions.
The land train can be made to order and adjusted to specific client needs. The panelled wagons are perfect to personalize the land train with images or messages for the client to decide upon. Re-cladding is possible and easy to be done when the vehicle has to be updated.
A new, slightly rounder and therefor more friendly looking front of the locomotive will be introduced in due cause of 2019.
