This Portuguese company from Madeira Island is a family project, based on the centuries-old tradition of Madeiran families of homemade fruit cultivation, such as passion fruit, arboreal tomato (known regionally as English tomato), pitanga, araçal, mango, papaya, banana and a whole set of species that have in Madeira unique flavors and aromas.
Three young sisters with an uncle, with entrepreneurial spirit set up this company in 2012, taking advantage of their ancestors' recipes to produce jams. They installed it in an old family home, adapted to receive the factory and the headquarters of the company.
The recipes of the products are more than 100 years old, and their secrets have passed through several generations.
In addition to the jams and chutneys production, the company bets on innovative products such as 100% natural fruit juice capsules, regional fruit flavored chocolates, cane honey cake and broads (typical of Madeira Island).
Currently the company sells its products through several distribution chains in Madeira and in the Portuguese mainland. It also already sells in Germany, and intends to expand its business to other locations in Europe.
As such, it is looking for other EU companies to sell their products abroad through commercial agency or distribution services agreement, in order to expand its business. The company intends long term commitments.
In order to guarantee the quality of its products, the company accompanies the producers throughout the whole process, from the planting of the fruits to the reception in the factory.
The production processes are subject to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards, performed by an independent entity, in order to ensure food security.
