A Slovenian company, specialised in manufacturing material (fermentation jars and kits) for making kefir and cheese at home, is looking for distributors in the health food sector.



The client is a small Slovenian company established in 2014. They started as a small start-up in Slovenia but they fast expanded in the foreign countries and are currently present in England, France, Spain and Portugal and on Australian market. At the time, the young team developed an innovative and simple consumer friendly product, a kefir making jar that is easy to use. The kefir jars are made out of high quality glass, with a plastic cover (many colours), a material that is friendly to microbiota cultures.
They offer glass jars with two different volumes (1.4 L and 848 ml) that a consumer can choose from and is in accordance with their needs. The innovative aspect of their product is that the glass jars are easy to use, regard its innovative shape, technology behind it and clean use. Furthermore the high quality material is also friendly to microbiota. Kefir grains contain a specific type of mesophilic symbiotic culture very beneficial for digestion. They are very sensitive to the material they are in contact with. After being in business with the kefir maker for two years, they started to search for new ways and possibilities to promote fermented foods in everyday life. After extensive research and exhaustive interaction with the community an idea for a new product was born – a cheese maker, capable to produce a variety of microbiota rich cheese types (mascarpone, mozzarella, ricotta, etc.).
Kefir drink originated in the Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Russia, where it is prepared by inoculating cow, goat, or sheep milk with kefir grains since 19th century. In comparison to other dairy product it is very rich with microbiota, minerals, vitamins and essential amino acids. Furthermore, a fermented drink contains very little lactose, so people with lactose intolerance are also able to consume and tolerate it without significant inconveniences or complications. To sum up, the company is offering two main products; kefir maker and cheese maker. With addition of adequate dried or fresh microbiota cultures and a recipe book, it is quite simple to assemble and offer simple kits for an end customer.
The company would like to expand its market with new partnerships, with help of distributors.
Partners from EU and beyond should sign distribution services agreement. They will receive the products and promotion material in accordance with the agreement.
