A German company seeks a start-up company as partner for the development of an alternative energy storage device for small electrical appliances. The solutions should have better performance data, should decrease costs and save resources compared to the lithium-ions used up to now. A technical cooperation agreement is offered.
The challenge is the performance and charging time of conventional cordless small electrical appliances such as cordless portable vacuum cleaners. A German company that is specialized in innovative cleaning devices for private households aims to develop a sustainable, safe and efficient source of energy for small cordless electrical appliances to replace the lithium-ion batteries used up to now.
The company`s current product portfolio includes vacuum robots, classic cylinder vacuum cleaners as well as cordless handheld and stick vacuum cleaners with and without bags. The range is to be gradually expanded to include other electrical household appliances.
For these products a combination of a battery solution with alternative drive options is of interest. In addition to supercapacitors and supercaps, green alternatives to lithium and cobalt can also be potential alternative energy storage options. However, some technical requirements such as drive with a power of max.700W, durability, running times or fast charging must be taken into consideration.
Product design and development is carried out in Germany. Production is in China. The German company would like to cooperate with an innovative start-up to implement an energy storage solution. The partner’s solution should be adjusted to the product requirements within a technical cooperation agreement.
This is organized within a competition, where expressions of interest, preferably pitch-decks, are collected until the end of May 2021. The German company will then decide who they will contact about a cooperation.
