A company from Spain, located in Valencia, produces a wide range of IQF citrus in several shapes and formats. IQF is a technology known as the individually quick-frozen method. This method does not allow large ice crystals to form in vegetable cells.

It was founded in 1985 and is one of the first Spanish technologists specialized in the industrial processing of citrus fruits. The company works mainly with local citrus producers that allow them to work without post harvesting treatment and without waxes.

The key point of the company is the versatility in adapt the products to international market needs and trends with the following formats: peel strips, granulated peel, peel dices, slices and half slices, wedges, irregular peels. The company produces these formats with orange, lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit, and many others fresh fruits using this production flow: washing fresh fruit, extraction peels, freezing and packing/storage.

The applications of the products are many in the food industry, as the production of marmalades, ice creams, yoghurts, bakeries and sauce industry; food decoration, exotic dishes, ready for eat meals, toppings, cakes and deserts. Other uses can be in soft drinks and beverage industry.
