Ladies and gentlemen on business travel take very good care of their appearance, including their shoes. In some hotels, there are polishing stations or a shoe polish service but many travellers have to pack shoe cream, sponge and a brush. Polishing can be messy and it is regarded as a chore and not something pleasant.
A UK company spotted the need to address this problem and developed a shoe polishing kit that is no-mess and that gives a brilliant result. There are two compact batons in the holder, one for the refillable cream tub and an integrated air pump. The other is a motorised horsehair brush. The pumping of cream means it doesn’t dry out and only a necessary amount gets dispensed. The motorised brush gives a pleasing result very quickly. The motors are charged from a USB port.
The kit (see the picture) is neat and compact. The high quality Italian shoe cream comes in three different tones and refills can be bought.
The shoe polish kit has enjoyed orders from three continents and the company seeks foreign partners throughout the network (except Austria and Germany where negotiations are ongoing). Initial feedback suggests it sells best as a gift around Fathers’ Day and Christmas. The primary partnership sought is distribution. The company will also consider white label commercial partnerships so that the partner’s brand (luxury shoes, for example) is used on the product.
