Summary

Summary:
A UK company, located on the south coast of England, manufactures and supplies high-quality, often niche, composite components that push technological boundaries in a range of industries. The company's 22 000 sq. ft. production base is equipped with state of the art facilities for production and testing. The company is offering service agreements to the renewable, marine, automotive, defense and aerospace industries.

Description

Description:

The UK company is a designer and manufacturer of high-end, often niche, composite components used in the product production of a range of advanced manufacturing industries, as listed below. The company is triple ISO certified by Norway's DNV-GL.

The company habitually works with pre-preg and resin infusions. However, its specialty is direct resin infusions, an innovative in-house manufacturing process, which currently enables it to manufacture up to 130mm thick structural laminates with low void content and good mechanical properties. Despite advances, the company's engineering team is constantly focused on improving their methods, whether in-house or in partnership with partners, suppliers and customers.

The company offers a complete package, from design and engineering, material validation, tooling, manufacture of the composite components, static load testing & FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) through to the final painting and delivery. Furthermore, the company operates an open-door policy with its customers and partners - offering them complete transparency throughout the build process, which is very rare in the composites sector.

The company operates from a 22 000 sq. ft. (2000 sq. m.) facility where much of the equipment has been designed and built in-house, incl. a ply cutter, a bespoke resin injection machine, a tailor-made robotic arm for precise trimming and tooling, two ovens, and four independent vacuum systems.

The company is interested to offer services agreement to supply limited or big runs of composite components to new partners from advanced manufacturing sectors such as renewables, marine, automotive, defense and aerospace.

Advantages & innovations

Cooperation plus value:
- Full-cycle and flexible service - from concept through to production of the composite component(s). - Open-door policy which gives clients the option to access and work on-site during project builds. - Tailor made plant and machinery, facilitating the manufacture of pre-preg and resin infused composite components. - Highly qualified, accredited and prize-winning product development team with track record in high-profile projects (incl. for Formula 1 teams among others).

Partner sought

Cooperation area:
The company is looking for industry partners from all areas where composite materials and composite components are used, e.g. renewables, marine, automotive, defense and aerospace. The partner should be looking for advanced (co-)developer and supplier of composite components for its products or prototypes.
