Why to participate? When:
- you are active in the sector urban freight logistics services by green mobility
- you want to get inspired by new mobility solutions and
- you want to generate new contacts for potential cooperation or
- you want to discuss new technology and innovative solutions

Why Brussels? Brussels is a niche for alternative urban freight logistics. About 8% of the traffic within Brussels comes from delivery services, which results in traffic jams, noise and unnecessary pollution. Because we increasingly order more and more goods online, these delivery services keep growing and consequently generate traffic jams, pollution, noise and so on. However, to make the city greener, cleaner, less noisy and a better place to live, the Brussels market opened for alternative sustainable delivery solutions.

Today, already 6 initiatives specialized in bike urban delivery are operating. An Eco-logistics solution for horeca and pharma is already commercially available as well as smart and sustainable predictive delivery logistics software .

Why the Netherlands? The Netherlands has a leading position in the field of electric transport for many years now including the development of new technologies and services. Their goal is to realise optimum zero-emission city logistics by 2025. One of the first steps is to translate the local pilots, living labs, into a large-scale roll-out from 2020. What is more, some major cities such as Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht have taken the first steps towards introducing a zero-emission zone.

As Mariëtte van Empel, Director Sustainable Mobility for Infrastructure and Water Management, indicates: “However, the Netherlands cannot do it alone: cooperation is as essential as it is desirable. After all, we don’t want zeroemission transport and e-mobility to stop at the border. New international alliances also create new opportunities. For this reason, we are pleased to invite you to join us on our journey to a zero-emission future” . Work with the Dutch to create smart, sustainable solutions for a more liveable, prosperous and secure world.

Are you the company which can make the difference? Join and get more business done. Participation is free of charge.
