UK companies active in advanced materials to visit South Korea as part of the Global Business Accelerator Programme

UK companies will be selected and recruited through a competitive application process.
The event will provide opportunities for the selected UK companies to meet South Korean companies engaged in the development of advanced materials technologies to build international partnerships for R, D & I collaboration and commercialisation.

The Global Business Accelerator programme organised by Innovate UK and Enterprise Europe Network will see cohorts of around 15 high growth potential companies visit specific countries to focus on key technologies.
In 2016 the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy confirmed investment into the development of 100 advanced material and component techniques, in preparation for the fourth industrial revolution. Around 15 companies who are actively involved in R & D and have demonstrable expertise in the development of advance material technologies will be selected through a competitive process to visit South Korea.
UK companies can register interest until 19 February:
The aim of the visit is to help companies improve their knowledge of market opportunities, accelerate development and meet business and research partners for cross border collaboration.
The visit will focus on key technologies:
Lithium Ion batteries
Adv coating technologies
Selected companies will take part in a programme of activities to include: briefings in the UK and South Korea, visits to leading companies and research centers of excellence and meet experts in advance materials technologies.
Selected UK companies will also participate in a brokerage event which will take place on the 20 March in co operation with edResearch South Korea and other networking events including a dinner at the Ambassadors residence.
