An infrastructure developer from Germany offers development land in a unique Arctic location. The client bundles the development land and renewable energy sources into a project structure for private investors and green technology owners to contribute to decarbonizing the energy sector.
The client is seeking cooperation with technology owners under financial agreement to develop a green industrial cluster in an area with large sustainable potential.
Abundant 1,200 ha of development land in an Arctic location are managed by an infrastructure developer from Germany. It is planned to develop a green industrial cluster in an area with enormous sustainable potential. The development land and the abundant renewable energy sources on offer are pooled and put into a project structure. Private investors and green technology owners to set up shop at this location to exploit available renewable energy are sought. This project contributes to decarbonizing agriculture, chemicals, and the energy sector.
The potential partners want to exploit their biochemical technology which runs on renewable energy to pursue innovative green projects including, but not limited to (1) desalination, (2) fish farming, processing, and (3) fertilizer production as well as (4) hydrogen production.
Companies partaking in this development will be awarded public concessions from a local municipality which gives them the right to pursue their intended projects and apply their technologies.
The uniqueness of this project lies within the synergies between the different industries as further described in the advantages section. The holistic approach contributes towards a sustainable development of the Arctic.
The client is seeking cooperation with private investors and technology owners under financial agreements/concessions to develop a green industrial cluster in an area with large sustainable potential.
This planned green industrial cluster to be developed in an Arctic area will be:
• a contribution towards a sustainable development in the Arctic,
• a value-chain that is decarbonized from beginning to end by relying on local geothermal and wind energy,
• benefitting from synergies between different industries, e.g. using the ozone by-product from hydrogen production for inland-based fish farming,
• an opportunity for companies to put a foothold in a strategic location between Europe and Asia.
Green technology owners, such as, but not limited to:
- fish farming/processing
- hydrogen production
- desalination of water
- fertilizer production
Project sponsor is currently in the process to establish required project structures. This process is supported by the government of Iceland and the local municipalities.
The client is looking for private investors or green technology owners active in bioeconomics, who share the idea to develop a green industrial cluster in an area with large sustainable potential, which also requires responsible commercial development. The partners will be awarded public concessions from a local municipality which gives them the right to pursue their intended project and apply their technology.
