A Korean SME provides business solutions for other SMEs, including IP (intellectual property) asset management and business development. The company wants to expand its portfolio of services to include a cloud-based virtual tradeshow editor using the very latest VR technology. The company is looking for partners to carry out joint R&D on virtual 3D market spaces in a project proposal to be submitted under the Eurostars2 or Eureka Programme.
The Korean SME provides intellectual property management services, consultancy, brokerage events software programs and other business development services. Korean organizations and companies conduct a lot of tradeshows every year, however, due to cost-cutting needs, there are increasingly more buyers that prefer virtual event platforms. More buyers are also more likely to use web search in looking for vendors.
With this background, the Korean SME would like to develop a virtual tradeshow editor that would utilize VR technology. Through the editor, the organizers could update the contents of their booth in the virtual tradeshow and visitors can access the trade fairs in a 3D environment. As such, the Korean SME is looking for a partner SME or R&D Institution with expertise in virtual reality (VR), particularly in VR editor software.
The Korean SME is planning to apply for the Eurostars2 program next year.
Deadline for EOI: August 2020
Deadline of the call: September 2020
The developed technology will have the following advantages:
- lesser costs for participants of trade fairs (no more traveling and accommodation costs which are also risks for the participants)
- easy access of complete information both for the buyers and vendors
- can be used regardless of geographic location (suitable for national or international trade shows)
- opening larger markets for trade show organizers
