An Italian start-up has developed a technology for the extraction of active principles from different vegetables and herbal matrices without chemical treatments. The extracted molecules are present for more than 98% in a combined form (glycosides) in the same way they are naturally present in plants and fruits. The start-up is willing to cooperate with international partner under technical and research cooperation agreements. A manufacturing agreement is also a viable kind of cooperation.
This Italian company is a start-up founded in 2015 by a team of professional researchers, a chemist and a biologist, with the aim of exploiting their experiences for the requalification of agricultural by-products into energy, fertilizers, nutraceuticals.
The start-up has developed an effective and innovative technology for the extraction of active principles, such as glycosylated biophenols / polyphenols and aglycons-biophenols, from different vegetable, herbal matrices without chemical treatments and with high purity and with high antioxidant capacity.
The extracted molecules, obtained using a novel technology, are present for more than 98% in a combined form (glycosides) in the same way they are naturally present in plants and fruits. The technology is already operative and used for the production of several vegetable extracts for food, nutraceutical or cosmetic use. The start-up has developed has developed an automatic system that is able to work in line with food production plants.
The technology yields extracts from several natural products / matrices (Olive, Bergamot, Pomegranate, Grapes, Apple, Cherry, Blackberry, Red Rapeseed, Prickly Pear, etc.) at least at a 98% purity (and even more) as to the presence of glycosylated molecules. The technology allow to obtain the highest percentage of active principles for Kg of extracts.
The start-up is interested to sign research cooperation agreements with technical institutes and universities for the characterization of vegetable extracts and/or technical cooperation agreements with companies interested to jointly develop new high-end niche nutraceutical or cosmeceutical products. The Italian start-up is also willing to produce natural high quality natural extracts with a high content of active principles under a manufacturing agreements with international companies.
