Based on acoustic emission (AE) innovative systems consist of electronic equipment designed to receive and process AE signals, specialized software and additional accessories. The proposed systems use the know-how of assessing and predicting the state of materials based on pattern recognition of acoustic emission signals. Systems provide the necessary accuracy and probability of prediction. Monitoring and predicting is fully automated. The state of structures is displayed online on a computer display, and can also be transmitted via the Internet to anywhere in the world. Systems are easy to install and integrate into industrial computer networks. Standard network protocols and technologies, XML, remote access and control over the Internet are used.
Use of systems makes it possible in most cases toeliminate additional control of structures by other non-destructive methods, to exclude determination of defects size, geometry and critical characteristics, as well as calculations of the level of danger based on fracture mechanics. The excluded procedures are complex, not accurate and cannot be performed in real time.
Continuous monitoring systems allow 100% testing of structures (including in hard-to-reach and inaccessible places) without stopping the production process, carrying out repair workbased on the actual state of the structure (i.e., if actually necessary).
