An established UK Medtech company specialised in the manufacture and distribution of health disorder diagnostic devices is looking for Velcro 'loop' elastic straps in a range of lengths but a standard width to secure tracking devices on patients' chest. The company is looking for a supplier or manufacturing agreement with a view to signing an agreement to become a regular supplier as soon as possible.
The UK company has been manufacturing and distributing health disorder diagnostic devices and software for home patients and hospital laboratories for 17 years. They sell their products internationally and work with medical experts to develop new devices. The managing director has a PhD in bioengineering.
All their devices on the market require Velcro 'loop' elastic straps and the company is looking for a supplier.
Those straps are required in three lengths:
The straps' width is 3.8 cm (please see drawing).
Both ends of the 'loop' strap have a short section of Velcro 'hook', not stretchy. This 'hook' part is rounded at the ends (please see pictures).
Both the hook and loop parts face the same side of the strap, so the hook can fold onto the loop and it will stick.
The other side of the strap does not have hook or loop.
The company estimates they will need around:
- small 4 straps per month
- medium 20 straps per month
- large 20straps per month.
But they could buy in larger volumes. This would be for the first order around:
4*12= 48 small straps
20*12=240 medium straps
20*12=240 large straps.
The company will need to have certification that it conforms with RoHS 3 and REACH. https://www.rohsguide.com/rohs3.htm
The company is keen to receive EXW ex-works incoterms quotation for the straps. For shipping arrangements, the chosen supplier will be given the UK company's UPS account number so the logistics will not be the whole responsibility of the supplier.
Delivery is required as soon as possible.
The company is ready to place an order and sign a supplier or manufacturing agreement.
The company needs to be already supplying Velcro straps.
The partner is expected to become a regular supplier for the UK company and to ship their first order as soon as possible ideally in September.
