This UK company is a specialist in podiatry and developing medical devices for reducing pressure and improving recovery in patients with ulcerative foot conditions. The company is seeking a manufacturing partner to produce a range of new products using injection moulding techniques, under a manufacturing agreement, for distribution within the medical and consumer markets.
This award-winning UK company is driven by a young and ambitious team who are experts in the podiatry field of healthcare. Their aim is to provide an innovative, cost-effective and more environmentally friendly alternative to the more traditional devices already available on the market by creating a range of orthotics, supports, medical shoes and surgical boots using their unique pressure-reducing technology.
20million people world-wide have Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFU) and a further 105million are ‘at risk’ of developing the condition. 15% of the UK population will most likely experience DFU in their lifetimes, putting the estimated market opportunity worldwide at over £5billion.
The company offers a preventative, pre-fabricated solution for ulcerative conditions which is cost-effective to produce in comparison to other available products and offers the opportunity to add value for health practitioners by reducing time needed to be spent in the clinic and time needed to configure devices for individual patient’s needs. These devices are self-regulated, non-invasive Class 1 medical devices.
The business is looking for a long-term manufacturing partner to produce the products under licence, as part of a manufacturing services agreement.
Ideal partners will be experts in injection moulding techniques and capable of large-batch manufacturing.
