The company is looking for an industrial partner that works in the security, energy, weather-forecasting and environmental for a commercial agreement with technical assistance. It is also seeking technological partners in the same sectors to improve the system under research or technical cooperation agreement.
An Italian ICT company has taken part in a european funded project with 6 european research centers to create an advanced system for the exploitation of data provided by a multi-service dissemination system, for environmental monitoring. This system combines satellite data with other data sources (ground-based sensors, manned and unmanned aircraft) and sends them to a spatial data infrastructure based on a machine learning approach. The end product is a well-structured and user-friendly web-based interface that can operate on the user’s local internet either by installing a server at their premises or by using the system’s server that can continuously export outputs to the user’s file transfer protocol (FTP) server.
The huge amount of satellite data expected with HVS (high volume service) requires a high performance, safe and ad hoc system capable of exploiting all the potential offered by the present and future satellite data thanks to the passage to HVS and to the introduction of the sentinel satellites. For such a purpose is needed a system capable of hiding the complexity of the data received and of safely exploiting their full potential.
This technology can automatically receive, process, visualize, query, store and disseminate third party satellites' environmental data. The system is highly customizable and can be converted to a real decision support system (DSS). The system is characterized by semi-automatic system adaptation to high-frequency maintenance intervention that can be done by many data providers.
This web based interface allows to exploit satellite data in real time and to benefit from timely and accurate environmental information up to 50 different environmental variables. Variables monitored include topography, land, wind, cloud, surface classification, radiation, sea ocean, precipitation, security.
The company is looking for partners in the security, energy, weather-forecasting and environmental sector such as:
- industrial partners for the installation of the system (antenna, receiver, server) at the clients' headquarters, under a commercial agreement with technical assistance;
- reseller or final users for the distribution and reselling of the services systems, under a commercial agreement with technical assistance;
- technological partner (companies or research centers) to further improvement of the system, under research cooperation or technical cooperation agreement.
The system allows the users to:
– receive notification and alerts by sms and email, but also maps, time series,queries, exports;
– use machine learning approach to provide prescriptions;
– continuously produce all outputs, pixel per pixel (from 1 to 30 meters resolution) starting from hourly data;
– be independent from ground sensors.
