A rapidly growing and dynamically developing Polish company, designig and selling specialized rehabilitation robots, will establish cooperation with partners from abroad. The expected type of cooperation is a distribution services agreement or a Commercial agency agreement to be able to enter new unknown markets. The devices they offer aimed at the neurorehabilitation market, responding to the needs of patients with neurological disorders, in particular after strokes.
A Polish company that designs and manufactures medical devices targeted at the neurorehabilitation market, responding to the needs of patients with neurological disorders, in particular after strokes, spinal cord injuries, or suffering from neurodegenerative diseases. Thanks to the automation of rehabilitation, the efficiency of doctors and physiotherapists is improved, enabling work with more patients at once, increasing revenues (the therapist is able to operate 4 robots simultaneously - exercising with 4 patients) and providing data for objective diagnostics and conducting more effective therapy (range measurements muscle movement, stiffness and spasticity, muscle strength, activeness and muscle fatigue using electromyography), providing patients with faster recovery. In addition, thanks to biop measurements - electromyography for neurorehabilitation and urinary incontinence is also possible to use in the home environment, which has a positive effect on deinstitutionalisation of the health service and reduces logistic barriers for patients. The rehabilitation robot offered by the company is a medical device used as a tool for automatic movement rehabilitation and diagnostics of the patient's state of health. It is particularly intended for motor rehabilitation of orthopedic and neurological patients. For therapy, you can use 6-channel surface electromyography (EMG) and a variety of easily replaceable tips of the device: for the forearm, the upper limb, the lower limb, the ankle, steering wheel, and for occupational therapy of the hand such as a disk, screwdriver and key. Thanks to such a universal solution, the equipment allows kinesitherapy for joints in a variety of patient settings and positions: forearm pronation / supination, arm flexion / extension in lying back, external / internal rotation of the arm, flexion / extension of the knee in sitting or forward lying, hip flexion / extension, ankle flexion / extension, bilateral work in a closed chain, unilateral work in a closed chain in the frontal or transverse plane, work with the trunk. During diagnostics and exercises, integrated measurements of the range of motion and tip position, muscle stiffness and spasticity, muscle strength, muscle activity and fatigue using electromyography are collected, enabling objective assessment of the patient's health and therapy. The system generates reports from training sessions on an ongoing basis and allows the export of sensor data that can be used as patient history and objectively document the progress of therapy. Target groups that can be treated or diagnosed by a robot are mainly neurological patients, orthopedic patients and the elderly, with regard to functional abilities. The most common use of the robot is characterized by patients with: • stroke • Incomplete spinal cord injury or spina bifida • Duchenne muscular dystrophy • Multiple sclerosis • Cerebral palsy • Spinal muscular atrophy • Parkinson's disease • movement impairment • Orthopedic injuries • Pelvic floor muscle dysfunction (urinary incontinence) • During postoperative convalescence, eg after knee arthroplasty or arthroscopy of shoulder rotators Use in physiotherapy and occupational therapy is aimed at: • Increasing muscle strength, • Increasing the range of motion of the limb • Increased coordination The device determines the measurement capabilities of the following physiological parameters that can be used as diagnostic indications: • Muscle activity assessment using surface electromyography • Assessment of the range of motion in isolated joints and planes • Assessment of limb joint stiffness and muscle spasticity • Muscle strength assessment • Muscle activity assessment • Muscle fatigue assessment. The company is looking for distributors willing to sign a distribution services agreement on European markets that have not yet been reached, and more.
The rehabilitation robot manufactured by the company contains a patented technology of reactive electromyography (EMG) in the field of uniaxial robots confirming the innovation of the solution. There is only one other solution on the market that uses EMG triggered finger movement. Competitive products on the market are not suitable for weak patients because they do not allow them active therapy. The device currently has the most accurate surface electromyograph dedicated to neurorehabilitation, achieving accuracy <1uV RMS and the most accurate dynamometer found in isokinetic robots in the world.
The company is looking for reliable partners from the medical and rehabilitation industry who will be interested in signing a distribution or agency agreement and help in increasing sales on new markets outside Poland.
