A Spanish company working in artificial intelligence (AI) is preparing a proposal for the topic H2020-ICT-29-2018 “A multilingual Next Generation Internet”. The objective of the project is to create a European multilanguage grid which mobilises the European AI community to support businesses and sectors in accessing expertise, knowledge, algorithms and tools to successfully apply AI thereby generating market impact. Technology providers with expertise in natural language processing are sought.
The project proposal aims at creating a European multilanguage grid that will allow every European citizen to be able to access content and engage in written and spoken communication activities without language being a barrier. The platform should be multidisciplinar and heterogeneous. The main structure/roles of the platform is the following: end-users (as customers who have business needs) and Tier 1 (as integrators due to the end-users’ business needs) as verticals, and technology providers (to fill the platform with executable algorithms, modules, etc., with different language approaches to be wrapped into the platform and create critical mass) as horizontals.
