An innovative Danish company specialising in ergonomic furniture has designed and developed a height adjustable office desk, which satisfies the highest technical standards. They are now looking for a serious long-term partner to collaborate with under a manufacturing agreement.
A Danish start-up company specialising in ergonomic furniture has designed an unique height adjustable office desk that is meant to cover a niche market within the home office area. The company is founded by Danish engineers who came up with the idea for creating ergonomic furniture for office workers working from home due to the Corona situation in 2020.
The company will initially order a batch of 500 pieces for delivery as fast as possible and expect a total sales volume of 2-3000pcs in 2021 with significant growth in 2022 plus additional products added to their portfolio.
The desk consists mainly of aluminium parts which should be powder coated. Other materials used for the desk include compact board / laminated wood for the desk plate, polyoxymethylene (POM) fittings, plastic handles, metal springs and gas strut.
The company is now looking for a system supplier who can handle final design optimisations under a manufacturing agreement, including updating production drawings, making a prototype before mass production, production, (handle any sub-suppliers), assembling, packaging and shipping to Denmark.
The dynamic desk designed by the company gives the user the possibility for stepless height adjustment so that a more ergonomic working posture is achieved throughout the day.
The desk is ergonomically correct and will give the user a healthier working posture. The desk will increase effectivity of the users' working space at home. When not in use, the desk is easy to fold together and store away so that the users' home is not an office all the time.
Finally, the product follows the recommendations outlined by the Danish Working Environment Agency.
The Danish company is looking for a partner that can handle and organise the whole process, from giving input to design optimisation, making technical drawings, making a prototype before mass production, manufacturing, including handling any sub-suppliers, to assembling, handling packaging and shipping.
It is expected that the aluminium parts and assembling are the major tasks of the manufacturing. The aluminium parts should be made of standard profiles and welded. The other components can be eventually sourced from sub-suppliers if needed. The partner is expected to do the assembling and to be responsible for the product as a complete system.
Welding as well as other metal working are expected to follow EN/ISO standards.
The Danish company is looking for a system supplier able to supply the final complete system, with a minimum order size of 500 units. The system supplier will deal with all design optimisations, test production, contracting with subcontractors if necessary, assembly, packaging and shipping to Denmark.
