An information technology company from central Slovenia has developed patented technology that enables a blind or visually impaired person to sense and recognize shapes on the touch screen. Solution represents itself through a special grid on top of the touchscreen of a standard smartphone or tablet combined with an application to bind it all together. It is using vibrations and a speech solution to signal a blind person what is beneath person's fingers. An application and a transparent embossed grid provide an excellent user experience. Blind and visually impaired people are using vibrations, sounds and voices along with finger glides across the embossed grid and follow a specific format on the screen. Embossed grid provides an excellent orientation on the otherwise flat screen and at the same time strengthens the user's fine motor skills.

Digital education for the blind and visually impaired is educational in content and specifically developed for blind and visually impaired children and young people.
