We are a dynamic, proactive, and efficient group comprising 45 members hailing from over 20 countries, each bringing diverse backgrounds and experiences from various regions. We aim to support entrepreneurs, dealing with the textile sector, growing sustainably and innovating internationally. With our strong international network, the group is committed to support SMEs to overcome the current challenges shifting from new circular business models and innovation to tradition and creativity, through funding and technology / know-how transfer.
Sustainable textiles and yarns, Leather, footwear, Smart and Wearable textiles, but also machinery, manufacturing processes, fashion garments and accessories, the group embraces the whole sector made of history and tradition together with innovation, research and creativity.
From manufacturing companies, to the innovative brands and the new young generation of fashion designers, thegroup is committed to bring European fashion and textile producers together to enhance opportunities and commercial partnerships across the organization of specific activities and partnering opportunities.
How we work
Our goal is to help entrepreneurs to innovate , to grow becoming more resilient and sustainable at international level :
- getting more visibility worldwide participating in fairs and fashion exhibitions where to promote expertise, products, services or technology among new markets
- meet new potential international partners having access to new markets in EU and in no EU countries
- scaling up at international level be engaged with other SMEs, Stakeholders or international experts and Clusters
- developing innovative, sustainable and digital solutions for products and services thanks to the wide range of information about funding opportunities, new European initiatives and policies and to the international connections they can achieve across EU and beyond embracing new sectoral trends from Robotics and automation to Digitalization , smart products as well as improved / enhanced materials.
To achieve this goal, we are organized into three perfectly cohesive, integrated, and collaborative working groups: Communication, Sustainability, and Smart & Innovative Textiles.
How can we help you?
We are committed to support SMEs to:
- Implement the Transition Pathway for the Textiles ecosystem: promoting the Pathway report and the forthcoming Pathway platform involving SMEs joining the pledge session
- Help SMEs to align actions and their activities to the objectives of the platform (encouraging sharing their transition pathway to highlight any business success stories’ pledges)
- Promote the new European directives on sustainability for the textile sector supporting SMEs to align and to understand topics and related issues.
- Foster initiatives, events and trainings related to sustainable and circular textile among specific actions and events
- Foster internationalization and innovation across new matchmaking sectoral events collaborating with European and no-European countries
- Foster relationships with our colleagues from non-EU countries to strengthen collaboration and promote international synergies.
- Involving new markets collaborating with INPs EEN members as well as with SGs and TGs on Horizontal issues
- Develop collaborations with international sectoral stakeholders
- Supporting Ukraine and the creative industry to foster collaborations with European companies boosting participation to international initiatives organized amid the EEN SG Textile.
- Implementing the Mapping Report on sustainable good practices amid the textile industry across the EU SMEs
