Description
Following the successful results of previous editions, the EU-Japan Centre is organizing a new session of its Biotech Business Mission to Japan targeting the red biotech sectors.
This mission is a great opportunity for businesses operating in Pharma, Biotechnologies, and Life Sciences sectors to showcase their products and services first in Osaka, Japan's historical pharmaceutical powerhouse, from 6-7 October 2025, and then at the BioJapan Expo (https://jcd-expo.jp/en/), the largest biotech partnering event in Yokohama from 8-10 October 2025.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS
The mission targets EU SMEs and clusters active in the following sectors:
- Drug discovery
- Drug discovery support including AI-assisted drug development
- Regenerative medicine
- Digital Therapeutics such as drug-device combinations, non-pharmacological therapy systems
OBJECTIVES
- Explore partnering opportunities with Japanese Biotech, Pharma, and Healthtech companies
- Meet and network with potential business partners in Japan
- Create new business opportunities and partnerships with Japanese companies
- Gain valuable insights and knowledge about the Japanese market to become more competitive on a global scale as an SME
- Prepare the ground for practical cluster cooperation with Japanese counterparts as a cluster
COSTS
- The EU-Japan Centre covers all costs directly related to the mission: the booth at the trade fair, transfer costs from Osaka to Yokohama, partnering activities.
- The participating company is expected to cover travel, accommodation and living expenses.
Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited, therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to identify final participants.
