Climate neutral and smart cities-mission to Barcelona
The yearly event of SCEWC in Barcelona is the place where companies, entrepreneurs, startups and scale-ups, cities, and research institutions in the field of climate neutrality and smart cities come together. Simultaneously, another fair called Tomorrow.Mobility takes place. These 2 business fairs are important places to do business and to network with cities, companies, and investors.
The mission focuses on two tracks:
Mission track 1 'Sustainable Built Environment and Energy':
Sustainable built environment and the energy transition including innovative solutions concerning technology and digitalization, climate adaptation, the digital infrastructure and energy in the built environment (including circular solutions, water, urban resilience solutions)
Mission track 2 'Green and Smart Urban Mobility':
Green and smart urban mobility including innovative solutions concerning EV charging, (electric) bikes, mobility hubs, logistics, etc.
The programme consists of participation in the Business Forum, Matchmaking and a visit to the SCECW.
The Smart City Business Forum brings together around 500 European and International decision makers to discuss key.
challenges for the climate-neutral and smart city. This year, we will focus on the role cities have in the Energy Transition and the Business Potential of technological solutions that can make the transition a reality. We'll thus give center stage to the private sector’s role in achieving cities’ targets, creating opportunities for public and private actors to connect, building partnerships and take steps in accelerating urban transformation.
The program will consist of high-level keynotes, matchmaking, and workshops around specific challenges hosted by a variety of international public and private partners.
