The Canadian Semiconductor Mission to the UK, held in South Wales on March 17–18, 2025, brought together key stakeholders from Canada and the UK to strengthen bilateral collaboration in the compound semiconductor sector. On the second day, Canadian delegates visited leading research centres at Cardiff and Swansea Universities, engaging in technical discussions on topics such as RF devices, photonics, micro-LEDs, THz communications, and sustainable semiconductor manufacturing.
The mission emphasized shared priorities in innovation, clean energy, advanced materials, and sustainability, laying the groundwork for future joint R&D initiatives and commercial ventures between the two nations.
