From November 11th to 13th, 2024, a Company Mission to Brazil was organized with the participation of Swedish SMEs exploring market opportunities in São Paulo and Florianópolis. This mission aimed to strengthen business collaborations, facilitate networking, and promote research and innovation partnerships between Sweden and Brazil.
The mission began in São Paulo with a Market Introduction and Inspirational Cases session at Business Sweden, followed by a pitch session and networking event. Participants then traveled to Florianópolis, a growing technology hub, for industry meetings with FIESC (Federation of Industries of Santa Catarina), ACATE (Santa Catarina Association of Technology), and the State Secretary of Santa Catarina. The program also included a workshop on AI, Machine Learning, and Health, culminating in a matchmaking event at Sapiens Parque, where Swedish and Brazilian companies engaged in targeted one-on-one business meetings.
The mission facilitated valuable networking opportunities, leading to potential R&D&I collaborations in sustainable cities, AI, life sciences, and industrial innovation. Participating companies gained deeper insights into the Brazilian market, particularly within the technology and innovation ecosystems in São Paulo and Florianópolis.
