Description
Following the successful results from past years, the EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising a new edition of its cluster and SMEs match-making mission to Japan in the digital sector.
This year the mission is organised on the fringe of the “Smart Manufacturing Summit 2024” held in March 2024 in Aichi, Japan. During this 3-day fair, selected participants will be able to exhibit in a joint booth under the EU-Japan Centre umbrella. (For more info about the Smart Manufacturing Summit 2024: https://sms-gi.com/english)
The mission will give EU SMEs and clusters the opportunity to enter the Japanese market and establish technology or business partnerships and therefore increase their innovation capacity and make them more competitive on the global scale.
Mission date: 12-15 March 2024
Application deadline: 24 November 2023
No more applications accepted after that date.
TARGET PARTICIPANTS
EU SMEs and clusters specialized in digital technologies (i.e. technologies encompassing digital devices, systems, and resources that help create, store, and process data) interested in doing business with Japan, in particular with applications in smart manufacturing and smart mobility.
OBJECTIVES
Through this mission participants will have the opportunity to:
- display their technology at one of Japan’s leading trade shows
- meet potential business partners
- create new business opportunities
- develop partnerships and business cooperation on global markets
- discover business opportunities with Japanese companies in Japan and beyond
- prepare the ground for practical cluster cooperation across borders and make a more strategic use of transnational cluster cooperation on markets outside Europe in areas of strategic interest (as a cluster)
COSTS & GRANT
- The EU-Japan Centre will cover participation fees to the trade fair, and the booth operational costs.
- The participants' companies are expected to cover travel, accommodation and living expenses.
The EU-Japan Centre will provide a 600€ grant to each selected participant to offset some of above costs.
Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited, therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to select the participating companies.
