Description
Finnish food export activities have been supported via different kind of programmes and projects for a long time. Those programmes have been good and successful but still the Finnish food export and for example statistical figures like "Value of food exports as a percentage of GDP" and “Average annual growth in the value of food exports” are still lagging behind of European figures.
The project "Food export ecosystem" aims at contributing to the development of a food export ecosystem and the main goal of which is to improve the international competitiveness of Finnish companies and facilitate their access to international markets. The project emphasizes the importance of cooperation, as the rational combination of forces between different actors produces synergy benefits that support the internationalization of companies.
The project aims to explore how cooperation can profitably increase Finnish food exports and conceptualize a national food export competence center and ecosystem for the region. The project activities include designing, conceptualizing, testing and evaluating an operating model through food export pilots. One of the activities in the project is to benchmark other ares and regions. The Netherlands was selected to the pilot target because the Netherlands is one of the biggest exporter of agricultural products in the world. This company mission is open for the project participants.
