Mission to Brazil for the ICBUILD Clusters of Sustainable Construction

In the frame of the ICBUILD project, Sicindustria organises with the ICBUILD partners a mission to Brazil from April the 1st to the 9th 2024

This mission, which will take place in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, is coorganised with the partners from EEN Brazil (Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology and BR00610 - European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs in Latin America and Caribbean), and EEN Poland (STAROPOLSKA IZBA PRZEMYSLOWO-HANDLOWA)

The mission will take place from the 2st to the 6th of April 2024 in Sao Paulo.
For the Italian delegation there will be an extension to Rio de Janeiro until the 9th of April.

The ICBUILD project https://icbuild.eu/ is part of the European Strategic Cluster Partnership (ESCP4i) to boost the cluster members` internationalisation.
The ICBUILD consortium consists of 6 clusters in the fields of construction, sustainable building systems and utilities, energy efficiency and renewables, lighting, eco-innovation, bio based
materials and ICT from 5 Countries:
SGG Slovenski Gradbeni Grozd Construction Cluster of Slovenia (coordinator)
ELCA European Lighting Cluster Alliance
SIPH INNOWATOR Polish Construction Cluster, Poland
ARCHENERG Hungarian international cluster for renewable energy and building trade
DUNDJER Construction cluster from Serbia
ECODOMUS Cluster, Italy

During this mission, 24 participants, which include clusters representatives, companies, and institutional representatives from the 5 European countries will:
- Attend FEICON the main fair for the construction sector in South America https://www.feicon.com.br/en-us.html
- Participate in B2B meetings
- Meet relevant Brazilian stakeholders
- Participate in the GOOO GREEN BRAZIL business conference
- Visit the Parque Global project and other relevant projects

Sicindustria will participate as EEN Europe/ICBUILD Ambassador.

Some of the key stakeholders in Brazil include: Instituto Brasileiro de Desenvolvimento de Relações Empresariais Internacionais IBREI; Italian Chamber of Commerce of São Paulo – ITALCAM; Environment and Sustainability Commission – Construction Industry National Chamber CMA/CBIC; CTE Centro de Tecnologia de Edificações; SLOBRAZ Chamber of Commerce; Green Building Council Brazil GBC Brazil; Exchange4Change Brazil; SACE, Italian Consulate; Italian Trade Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

The mission will ease the exchange of information, ideas, and best practices, set the path for fruitful collaborations.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to engage in discussions, explore potential partnerships, and exchange valuable insights.

Since September 2022 Sicindustria has been assisting the ICBUILD project in the organisation of company missions to third countries.
Three missions to UAE, India and Canada took place between December 2022 and February 2024, with the the full support of Sicindustria. In the case of India, there was the involvement of GBI (EEN India) and for Canada, the collaboration of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Canada - West (EEN Canada)
