Description
The Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE), the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (DeltaTech-Korea Ltd), all members of the Enterprise Europe Network, are collaborating with the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Greek-Asian Business Council, along with the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Greek Exporters Association, in order to organise a multi-sector company mission to Asia on 11-21 November 2023.
The purpose of the mission is to assist Greek SMEs to investigate the possibility for business partnerships in a region of great interest and significant potential. The chosen destinations present clear advantages: they have large populations, the middle class has important purchasing power, there is a definite and stable demand for quality products of Western origin, and there are opportunities in a variety of important sectors in which Greek companies excel, such as food, and building materials.
The full and comprehensive itinerary lasting 10 days will cover the following well-developed Asian countries: Japan, South Korea, and China, and will include b2b meetings in these 4 major cities: Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Hong Kong.
Greek companies from various sectors are invited to participate in the mission, including but not limited to:-
• food and beverages (organic, gourmet)
• cosmetics
• pharmaceuticals
• construction & building materials.
The main organisers of this mission are also in close contact with the Offices for Economic & Commercial Affairs of the Greek Embassies in Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, as well as the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce in order to compile a rich programme of targeted B2B meetings with local companies in each city. The focus of the b2b matchings will be both of a commercial nature (import-export, distribution, representation, etc.) but the participants will also be encouraged to explore the creation of other types of collaboration agreements such as research project partnerships, technology transfer, exchange of know-how, etc.
