Description
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen European collaboration, a delegation of approximately 35 Portuguese representatives — primarily from SMEs, business clusters, and innovation support organisations — will travel to Brussels to enhance their involvement in EU programmes and cross-border partnerships.
The participating organisations demonstrate a strong level of maturity and are actively engaged in European initiatives such as Horizon Europe, LIFE, and Interreg. Many are well-positioned to contribute to international consortia and integrated value chains.
The mission will focus on three strategic sectors:
Blue Economy: port logistics, marine biotechnology, ocean observation systems, sustainable aquaculture
Green Economy: renewable energy (solar, wind, bioenergy), circular economy services, sustainable materials
Infrastructure and External Action: smart mobility, energy grids, urban development, international cooperation
A dedicated panel will take place on 25 June at 16:20, bringing together Portuguese and Belgian companies to share practical insights on leveraging EU instruments and collaborative initiatives. The session aims to foster meaningful exchanges and lay the groundwork for future partnerships.
Networking Cocktail with Belgian Companies and Entities - As part of the upcoming business mission to Brussels, participants will be invited to a networking cocktail designed to foster direct engagement between Portuguese and Belgian companies, clusters, and support organisations.
Taking place immediately after the panel session on 25 June, this informal gathering will offer a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, explore potential collaborations, and build personal connections in a relaxed and dynamic setting.
