Romania&Türkiye Packaging B2B Event

The main packaging materials in the Romanian packaging market are rigid plastics, rigid metal, paper and cardboard, flexible packaging and glass. In 2022, the flexible packaging segment dominated the Romanian packaging market share and will continue to do so until 2027. Flexible packaging is followed by rigid plastics and glass. The lightness of flexible packaging contributes to its significant use in packaging. Packaging materials offer easy and convenient storage.

However, the packaging and packaging sector is expected to grow rapidly in the 2022-2027 period, especially with rigid metal, which is more reusable and durable than all other packaging materials.

When Turkey's World Yearly Export in the packaging and packaging sector is examined, Romania is in the top 10.At the same time, when Romania's World Yearly Imports in the packaging and packing sector are examined, it is seen that Turkey is also in the top 10.The packaging and packing sector is expected to grow in Romania until 2027. In order to increase our country's share of Romania's sectoral imports, it is important to organize delegations in all sectors, especially in the packaging and packing sector.
In line with the information shared above and the developments in world trade and our country's export targets, Romania has become one of the target and priority countries of our Ministry as of 2024. It is also among the target and priority countries of our Ministry in 2025. It is considered that carrying out an international marketing activity in the Packaging and Packing Sector in Romania by our Union will be beneficial for our companies.
