BIA is one of the big industrial associations in Bulgaria with a matrix structure of sectoral and regional organisations. There are 14 departments in the headquarter in Sofia. Represents employers before trade unions and government. Member of BusinessEurope. International Economic Relations Center (IERC) at BIA has extensive experience in supporting SMEs: consulting, marketing studies foreign markets, product and sector studies, market access, partner matching; business missions, seminars, trainings and business forums; innovation support through individual consulting and trainings; access to finance and funding sources for company development, scale-up companies and sustainable growth. IERC is a co-founder of Innovation Management Academy. It hosts the first Bulgarian Open Innovation Platform.
