Sicindustria business association has over seventy years of activity and a key role in the economic growth of Sicily, Italy.
Sicindustria, with operational offices in seven of the nine provinces, is the main branch of Confindustria (Italy’s main business association, representing manufacturing and service
companies, with over 150 thousand member companies of all sizes) in Sicily, and the beating heart of the enterprise in the region.
Operational and representative offices are located in the provinces of Agrigento, Caltanissetta, Enna, Messina, Palermo, Ragusa and Trapani. Other 2 Confindustria offices in Catania and Siracusa provinces are well connected to Sicindustria.
Sicindustria represents over 1,500 associated companies for a total of more than 55,000 employees.
Sicindustria includes the Small Industry Committee and the Young Entrepreneurs Group and the following sectoral sections: Industry, Health, Tourism, Logistics and Transport Infrastructures, Energy and the Environment, Agribusiness, Plastic Rubber Chemistry, Services, ICT, Industry Plants, Finance, Finance and Insurance, Stone, Metalworking, Construction.
Interacting with key institutional actors and economic stakeholders at all levels, Sicindustria guarantees the centrality of the company as a driving force for economic, social and civil development.
Through this open approach, it provides increasingly diversified and efficient services: from training to internationalisation, from assistance in finance access to aid in obtaining European funds for development.
Thanks to its network, Sicindustria also carries out intense research and study activity to provide information to its member companies and to promote mutual support between entrepreneurs. The network is the heart of Confindustria’s nature: a network made up of entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs.
Sicindustria is a member of Enterprise Europe Network since 2008, and can count on a skilled multidisciplinary team.
It participates in several Sector Groups and Thematic Groups.
Currently, it co-chairs the Agrifood Sector Group.
It is also engaged in other European projects.
