Univerza na Primorskem (UP), Slovenia’s third largest public university, was established in 2003 as a centre of knowledge implementing European educational strategies. The main objective of this vibrant university is to carry out high quality study and research programmes, implementing and integrating them with the educational, intellectual and research potential in accordance with EU strategies. UP's mission is to contribute to the global knowledge base through constructive cooperation and courageous competition in the global university space. At the same time, it draws ideas and solutions for the development of cooperation with society and industry in which it operates, within Slovenia and throughout Europe.
