EGE UNIVERSITY

Ege University is a 68-year-old state university that acts as a focal point for education, research, cultural and social activities in the city of Izmir and the Aegean region. In total, 60,000 students are enrolled at Ege University and the number of the academic staff is approximately 3,000. Joint projects and active cooperation with regional universities, national organisations, regional and national stakeholders are carried out with a special emphasis on utilizing research results for the benefit of the society. The university has participated to more than 100 EU-Funded projects so far. It ranks among the top five Universities in Turkey with respect to its publications, patent disclosures and commercialization of results.
