Events to look out for
SMEs and entrepreneurs as drivers towards clean energy at EU sustainable Energy Week: 20 June 16:00 CET, Brussels (Belgium). Funding available
A new agreement under the SME initiative will unlock 170 million EUR of loans for Spanish businesses. A new agreement was signed between the European Investment Bank Group and Ibercaja under the Spanish SME initiative programme. It will benefit around 2,000 small businesses in the regions of Aragón, Andalucía, Extremadura and Madrid.
European Investment Bank lends Deutsche Leasing 100 million EUR. The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Deutsche Leasing have signed a EUR 100 million promotional lending agreement. Deutsche Leasing will use the EIB loan to provide finance for firms in Germany and elsewhere in Europe, targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and midcaps.
EU policies for better business
European Commission takes new steps to enhance compliance and practical functioning of the EU Single Market. The package of measures will make it easier for companies to manage their paperwork online in their home country or when doing business in another EU country and it will help ensure that commonly agreed EU rules are respected. This initiative can help businesses save up to 11 billion EUR a year.
