EU policies for better business

These cover appliances with a direct sales function.

European Commission paves the way for safe, secure and green drone operations. Last week, the Commission adopted common EU-wide rules setting technical requirements for drones. These rules will set features and capabilities that drones must have in order to be flown safely and, at the same time, help foster investment and innovation in this promising sector.

EU agreement on new rules paving the way for better VAT collection on online sales. The new rules agreed among EU Member States will ensure a smooth introduction of the new VAT measures for e-commerce agreed in Brussels in December 2017 (which will officially come into force in January 2021). These rules should also help Member States to recover the EUR 5 billion in tax revenues lost each year.
