Description
The Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE), and Enterprise Singapore, both members of the Enterprise Europe Network, are collaborating with the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Greek-Asian Business Council, in order to organise a business mission of Greek companies to Southeast Asia and Oceania on 29 September – 12 October 2024.
The purpose of the mission is to assist Greek SMEs to investigate the possibility for business partnerships in a region of great interest and significant potential. The chosen destinations present clear advantages: they have large populations, the middle class has important purchasing power, there is a definite and stable demand for quality products of Western origin, and there are opportunities in a variety of important sectors in which Greek companies excel, such as food, and building materials.
The full and comprehensive itinerary lasting 12 days will cover the following countries: Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand, and will include b2b meetings in the following major cities: Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Auckland and Singapore.
Greek companies from various sectors are invited to participate in the mission, including but not limited to:-
• food and beverages (organic, gourmet)
• cosmetics
• pharmaceuticals
• construction & building materials
• energy
• technology.
The main organisers of this mission are also in close contact with the Offices for Economic & Commercial Affairs of the Greek Embassies in Sydney, as well as the Hellenic-Australian Chamber active in various regions, the Honorary Consul in New Zealand and the Offices for Economic & Commercial Affairs in Singapore in order to compile a rich programme of targeted B2B meetings with local companies in each city. The focus of the b2b matchings will be both of a commercial nature (import-export, distribution, representation, etc.) but the participants will also be encouraged to explore the creation of other types of collaboration agreements such as research project partnerships, technology transfer, exchange of know-how, etc.
The detailed final programme will be available shortly.
