General information
- Short Summary
- The use of 3D printing enables independent and decentralized production of plastic parts. The multi-nozzle technology, developed by a startup from northern Germany, enables an economical and sustainable production. Cooperation is offered to all interested pilot partners, who want to benefit from the above-average printing speed and quality.
- Full Description
-
Today, the 3D printing market of material extrusion relies on outdated technology which is challenged by time, cost, and quality. Independent and decentralized production of, for example, spare parts made of plastic, can create competitive advantages.
A startup from northern Germany offers a multi-nozzle 3D printing technology – currently the fastest extrusion-based 3D printer available on the market.
Using multi-nozzle technology, individual parts can be produced in the shortest possible time, even overnight. Compared to other material extrusion 3D printers,
the solution saves >25% energy.
The company already cooperates with first pilot partners for applications in orthopedic technology with very promising results. The validated use case shows exemplarily how the solution can be implemented as printing-as-a-service or production on site - in this case with certified polymers for body applications.
In order to further evaluate and scale-up market access across industries, pilot partners from maritime, chemical, aerospace and construction industry are sought.
It is beneficial if the partner already has digital versions of the components or access to a software to design the components.
Pilot activities could also include research and development cooperation on specific applications.
Ultimately, cooperation in form of commercial agreements with technical assistance is envisaged.
The company is currently preparing a seed round and is open to speak with interested investors. - Advantages and Innovations
-
- The 3D printer enables overnight production of material-rich components
- Proprietary 7 nozzles enable simultaneous, controlled extrusion
- The solution includes proprietary algorithms and AI for process planning
- The software facilitates automatic optimization of part orientation and process settings
- Process time reduction of up to 75%
- Provides cost-efficient use of filament or pellet material
- Low part costs enable the broad industrial use of polymer 3D printing
- Unlike other 3D printing technologies, material extrusion processes recycled polymers to contribute to sustainable manufacturing practices - Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
- Experiences with customisation of components and access to suitable software is beneficial.
