General information
- Short Summary
- A Hungarian company offers a complete solution for dispensing industrial and healthcare products from their vending machines. Their machines are tailored to the needs of the healthcare sector for provision of personal protective equipment and for single use material. Their bespoke software system provides a full logistics service, saving on workforce time and reducing waste. To continue their expansion, the company is looking to identify commercial agents selling to the healthcare sector.
- Full Description
-
Established in 2010 with the funding of a venture capital company, the Hungarian company specialises in vending machines for the industrial sector. Since the launch of their first helix-type machine in 2011, they now have industrial dispensing machines in 400+ end-user locations in 25 countries, on 3 continents and is considered a market leader in the industrial sector. Apart from Hungary, they have close close collaboration with healthcare companies in Poland, Spain and Singapore.
The company has recently developed a pill dispensing system, which ensures that the right medication is given, providing full traceability to avoid mistakes. The system is a full solution currently under development, which is proposed as a modular system, containing three parts. The first part is a medicine storage box with stock management in a locked system. The second unit is a medication trolley to support the distribution of medicines to patients, which can log the time when medicines were given. This will be supported by a pill dispensing control unit, which controls the storage box and medication trolley, while communicating with the hospital software, in order to keep the medication logs updated.
In order to complete the development of their dispensing unit, the company is looking for healtcare providers, who can test the unit under operativing conditions to provide feedback, fine-tune and validate their driven medication unit. This would ideally suit a hospital unit or retirement home, where there are many patients receiving mediciine, and would facilitate the work of the nursing staff. The company is also interested in further development of the unit under research funding, including Horizon Europe. - Advantages and Innovations
