General information
- Short Summary
- A hydrogen combustion engine (H2ICE) burns hydrogen, emitting mainly water vapor and some NOx. Water injection improves combustion but requires purified water. Instead of storing pre-treated water, an onboard purification system could use tap water. The company seeks a partner with water treatment expertise to develop a mobile demineralization and purification solution.
- Full Description
-
A hydrogen combustion engine (H2ICE) is an internal combustion engine that burns hydrogen instead of gasoline or diesel. It operates like conventional engines, using hydrogen and air ignition to generate power. Its main emissions are water vapor and small amounts of NOx, making it a cleaner alternative to fossil fuels.
One way to improve hydrogen combustion robustness on H2ICE si to use water injection. This injected water need to be demineralized, without bacterial, cleaned….
One way to get it is to buy specific water and store it (complex to refill H2 and demineralized H2O on same station). One other way is to embed a cleaning system like used on industry or at home and use tap water to refill the tank from any station.
As part of the development of hydrogen combustion engines for heavy-duty vehicles, this company is seeking a partner with expertise in water treatment who has developed or could develop a mobile water demineralization and purification solution. - Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
