The exoskeleton can be defined as a mechanism integrated into the human body. This physical connection helps send necessary information to the exoskeleton and, in turn, apply mechanical force. In this way, it can be seen as an assistant that increases the speed, strength and endurance of the user.
Exoskeleton robots can be used in the treatment of patients for rehabilitation and treatment in the medical field, while providing support, strength and endurance to their operators in military and industrial applications. Exoskeletons are generally developed to support people in basic tasks such as walking, running, sitting, standing, and carrying heavy loads. With the developing actuator and sensor technologies, exoskeleton systems gain a stronger, dynamic and ergonomic structure and thus their usage areas are expanding.
Exoskeleton systems are produced and named with different designs according to the purpose of use. Exoskeletons designed to support the human upper region are called upper-limb. On the other hand, if the waist and legs are supported, it is defined as the lower-extremity. There are also exoskeleton robots designed to support or strengthen both the lower and upper body. In addition, according to the design purpose, exoskeleton robots; It is divided into two groups as strengthening (military, industrial, etc.) and rehabilitation (paralyzed and elderly people). - Advantages and Innovations

In the preliminary laboratory studies, a hydraulically driven three degree of freedom upper extremity exoskeleton robot was designed and manufactured. In this design, it is aimed to establish the human-robot interaction network with IMU sensors and the necessary software has been developed.
The results of the theoretical, simulation and preliminary prototype tests of the upper extremity and lower extremity exoskeleton preliminary studies have clearly shown that the whole body exoskeleton robot can be applied in practice, can meet the specified targets and can be used in the defense industry. - Stage of Development
