The patented technology developed by Foditec delivers up to 60% less peak pressure on the knees compared to standard foam protectors, providing significant health benefits for craftsmen who frequently work in a kneeling position. This technology is currently used in professional knee protection products sold under various brands. It is also suitable for other applications where pressure distribution helps reduce strain on the body, such as shoulder straps for bags and backpacks.
Foditec’s products are widely used by craftsmen who kneel frequently. The range includes the Hammock 1, which fits into work trousers; the Hammock 1X, which is worn over workwear; and the heavy-duty Hammock 2 knee protector. The Hammock 1 and 1X are popular among mobile professionals who kneel often throughout the day, such as plumbers, carpenters, and painters. The Hammock 2 is favored by those who spend extended periods working on their knees, including pavers, roof tilers, and floor tilers.
At the core of these products is Foditec’s patented spring system, developed in collaboration with TU Delft, TNO, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, and Inmarket.
