General information

Short Summary
A Turkish Tier-1 automotive supplier with R&D expertise in metal forming, EV components, and sustainable manufacturing is seeking a partner organization—preferably from Switzerland, Denmark, Turkey, or Austria—in the recycling sector. The ideal partner will collaborate on the development and testing of a robotic disassembly automation prototype by contributing insights into current recycling practices and providing feedback through prototype testing.
Full Description
The company is a Tier-1 automotive supplier with over 45 years of experience in the production of high-volume stamped metal parts and tool & die development. Its IATF 16949-certified operations support multiple OEMs in the automotive sector, with advanced capabilities in digital manufacturing, sustainability, and process innovation.

As part of its R&D strategy under Horizon Europe and EUREKA programs, the company is developing an automated robotic system for disassembly operations aimed at improving the efficiency of recycling processes, particularly for complex industrial components.

To validate and co-develop this innovation, the company is currently seeking a recycling-sector partner that meets the following criteria:

Engaged in recycling or disassembly operations (any scale),

Highly interested in process automation technologies, especially in robotics (mandatory),

Preferably located in Switzerland, Denmark, Turkey, or Austria.

The collaboration will focus on:

Understanding current disassembly and recycling workflows,

Analyzing cost structures and operational challenges in recycling,

Testing the robotic disassembly prototype and providing feedback on its performance,

Optionally, contributing to the co-development and refinement of the prototype solution.

This partnership will support mutual innovation, with potential co-application to Horizon Europe or national innovation funding calls related to circular economy, waste reduction, and digital transformation.
Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
Organisation type: SMEs, mid-caps, research centers, or industrial recyclers.

Activity: Recycling, disassembly, or waste processing operations.

Expertise sought:

Operational knowledge in recycling/disassembly processes,

Capacity and willingness to test robotic automation solutions,

Preferably, experience or interest in EU-funded R&D projects.
