Xylit is a waste generated during the extraction of lignite. Its low energy content makes it unattractive for heat production. It is therefore considered waste for mining companies.
Xylit is composed of fossilized wood and roots not transformed into lignite. Xylit is produced during the extraction of lignite and is separated from raw lignite.
