They are drawn to the technological impacts on democracy and governance, where they explore how digital advancements can both support and challenge traditional governance structures and democratic processes.
Their research directly addresses radicalization, societal polarization, migration, disinformation, FIMI, strategic and crisis communications, extremism, terrorism and the implications of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence on national and global security landscapes at both the national and international levels.
