General information

Short Summary
The company is looking for partners to join a project proposal for the validation of a zero-waste "green" technology for processing black mass (BM). The proposed technology allows full complex recycling of lithium ion batteries (LIBs) in a completely closed cycle, without generating waste and 100% return of the used raw materials in the production process. Proposed Call: EIC Pathfinder Open 2024 (HORIZON-EIC-2024-PATHFINDEROPEN-01)
Full Description
The company is engaged in the development of innovative technological solutions and engineering in the field of ecology, energy conversion and its storage in batteries and implementation of ecological and non-standard solutions with increased consumer value, meeting the latest EU directives on “green transition” and “circular economy”.
The research team has several innovative solutions with IPR protection:
- electromagnetic treatment of diesel fuel, which allows reducing fuel consumption and, as a consequence, reducing the amount of exhaust gases.
- extending the range of modern electric cars by offering a new battery management system (BMS) managing the operation of a hybrid battery (two or three different electrochemical systems). The proposed technical solution allows increasing the efficiency of battery energy use and increases the range of the EV. The solution is also applicable in stationary Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
- technological improvement of Lithium Ion Batteries (LIBs). LiBs use expensive and precious materials, such as nickel, cobalt, manganese, lithium, copper) and aluminum and expensive technological processes for production. Europe does not hold resources of the listed expensive and strategic materials, that is why their recycling / return for re-use is of ultimate importance for the entire EU industry. The team offers a suitable technological solution to the problem, which meets all the requirements of ecology, "green deal", "circular economy" and the reuse of 100% of industrial waste, as starting materials represent a cornerstone for the future development of Europe.
Advantages and Innovations
The proposed technology fully meets the aims and requirements of the "green deal" and the "circular economy" paradigm. The company offers a complex ecological solution to the problem of 100% recycling of lithium-ion batteries, in an ecological and completely closed cycle, guaranteeing a 100% reuse of spend active electrode materials.
