- Full Description
-
The client is a clinical test centre, which is part of a hospital, where companies can validate and test ideas, prototypes and products in a ‘live’ environment with the focus on rehabilitation (physical medicine, physiotherapy and occupational therapy). Both co-creation and clinical testing are possible. Co-creating can include focus groups with healthcare professionals, surveys, testing days, ux feedback, … Concerning clinical testing both pilot studies and large-scale effectiveness studies are possible.
To fulfill this mission the client has defined company needs in this respect:
-Lack of experience in research and development
-Complex administration and changing legislation
-Too little time for validation
-Insufficient network: design, production, go-to-market, etc.
-Limited access to patients and caregivers
-Product not compatible with market needs
To help companies overcome these obstructions, the client presents itself as a bridge between (basic)research, technological development and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Due to this unique position they can assist companies in every development stage of their solution. They identify three stages: Idea, Prototype and End Products for each of which they have identified needs and propose a number of services that are centered on the specifics of every stage. Which service is proposed to a partner is based on mutual input in which customization is key. For each collaboration, from a day-long test to a large effectiveness study, a clear offer is drawn up.
The client wants to introduce this opportunity to companies in Europe to allow them to test (potential) innovations in a ‘live’ environment. As they are part of a hospital administration they take care of a lot of red tape which speeds up the process. They are open to all proposals in the area of rehabilitation and healthcare technologies. The hospital is not looking for IP. The client is especially open to niche products from innovative companies. - Advantages and Innovations

Partner Sought
- Expected Role of a Partner
- Every partner active in revalidation solutions that wants to take advantage of the possibilities of the test centre can propose a research question. Every proposal is looked upon on its merits and both client and partner decide together what is, the best way to go. The client is especially focused on niche products as they do not execute mass testing (less than 100 participants). They are also open for participation in consortia but not as the lead partner.
