General information

Short Summary
Colombian company in the tourism sector offers ecological lodging for up to 24 people in a natural and cultural environment. It is looking for travel agencies that work with responsible travellers interested in sustainable tourism, nature and local culture, in order to establish commercial agreements.
Full Description
Located in Jardín, Antioquia (Colombia), this tourist accommodation started operations in 2018. It was designed and built to reduce environmental impact at all stages of its operation, incorporating sustainable practices in both the architecture and daily operation. The main focus is to invite the guest to actively participate in a conscious and educational experience, integrating principles of environmental and social sustainability into their stay.
The accommodation has 9 rooms with a total capacity of 24 people: 7 double rooms and 2 quadruple rooms. It has received more than 12,000 visitors mainly from Europe, the United States and South America. Its location in a privileged natural environment, a short distance from the centre of the municipality, facilitates access to cultural and nature activities.
Among the measures implemented are: bioclimatic design with rammed earth walls, use of solar energy for hot water, rainwater harvesting for toilets, waste separation, biodegradable soaps, vegetarian cuisine, formal hiring of staff with fair working conditions, and local purchases for supplies.
The company seeks to cooperate with tourism agencies interested in strengthening sustainable and regenerative tourism, especially those with a focus on responsible and environmentally friendly experiences.
Advantages and Innovations
The operating model combines traditional architecture adapted with ecological solutions such as thermal walls, solar energy and rainwater harvesting. This makes it possible to maintain comfortable conditions without the need for air conditioning or heating. In addition, the accommodation integrates sustainable practices in a transversal way, not as a complement, but as the core of the experience.
Visitor awareness is actively promoted, inviting co-responsibility for the environment during their stay. The combination of design, environmental education and positive social impact distinguishes it as an accommodation option in the region. It also complies with fair labour standards and is aligned with global sustainable development goals.
