The Czech company was established in 1991 and is a producer of stents.
A stent is a mesh tube that works as a reinforcement to restore the patency of a narrowed anatomical tube (digestive tract, airways, etc.) caused by a benign or malignant disease or tissue injury.
The stent is usually made of nitinol (nickel and titanium alloy, coated with a special coating), which is characterized by shape memory, elasticity and a corresponding radial force.
The stents are used for indications in the gastrointestinal tract, in the airways. The stents are designed for adult patients as well as adjusted to pediatric patients. The stress is put on the reinforcement that helps to free passage of the digestive tract and is now commonly mentioned in the medical literature. It is a safe, standard and established method.
During the production, the company uses following techniques: processing of nitinol and stainless steel, silicone coating, EO sterilisation, radial force measurement, CNC lathe, assembly, final cleaning and packaging.
The company works on the basis of a quality management system in accordance with EN ISO 13485. The products are prepared in clean rooms classified according to EN ISO 14644 in Class 8. The company adheres to the principles of good manufacturing practice according to European and Czech standards. All products are equipped with CE marking.
A part of the company is their own Research and development department, therefore they offer their services for OEM projects, such as cooperation in the production of prototypes, design modification or serial contract manufacturing of finished designs.
They do contract manufacturing independently from own production. They are certified for ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization (ISO 11135:2014), they are equipped with laboratory for joint strength test, climate chamber (simulation of accelerated aging), injection moulding machine and similar.
